Working alongside Sonneman Toon Architects and Kier Construction, Hygenius supplied the full FF&E package for the GOSH Sight & Sound Centre. This included a range of bespoke joinery, from a smart panelled reception desk and wall screen to the fitted seating, teapoints and activity walls to keep patients occupied while waiting.
“The level of ability of the Hygenius install gang was outstanding, with installation tolerances easily exceeding those required by British Standards. They were also able to manufacture joinery elements on site – a rare ability in the current age. I will definitely look to work with them again.”

The clinic has specialist facilities for outpatients, state-of-the-art soundproofed booths for hearing tests, an eye imaging suite and dispensing opticians, as well as a garden designed with all senses in mind, allowing children to see touch and smell the plants.
“One of our primary objectives in developing the interior design of the GOSH Sight and Sound Centre was to ensure that we created a homely and welcoming environment. Hygenius provided high-quality bespoke joinery that is designed to complement other aspects of the interior design and helps to create the non-clinical look and feel that we had specified.”

The project won the European Healthcare Design Award for projects under 25,000 sqm.
