25mm Plywood Specification

Plywood provides a fit-for-purpose material for medium secure spaces. Due it’s robustness, when used in low risk environments, it provides the opportunity for future-proofing should requirements change.

Using a laminated plywood, colour and pattern choice is extensive enabling a more healing and therapeutic environment.

Lockable Storage

Option available for lockable storage above the wardrobe for large items such as suitcases and bags. This is secured by lock and for staff access only.

Toe Kick Recess

Additional support for staff if requiring to secure service user on bed

Mattress Support

Slight height extension on side panels to hold the mattress in place on bed. Options for routered grooves on bed base to allow air circulation around the mattress.

Modular Build

Each section of the furniture is modular. This allows for quick and easy install, whilst increasing robustness and enabling easy maintenance.

Fitted Bed For Robustness

Bed is secured to the ground with physical fixings or adhesives to ensure a secure installation and reduce risk of damage

Additional option available where extra storage is required.

Fitted Headboard

Headboard is fixed to wall at the top and or one side to reduce access to the surround of the bed.

Anti-Ligature Coathook Shelf

Anti-ligature hanging space available within wardrobe

No Doors On Storage

Designs exclude doors due to ligature risk, allowing staff to easily view contents of shelves and storage spaces

Ventilation Grills 

Air circulation grills applied on bed to allow ventilation, reducing mold/damp

ABS Edging

ABS edging applied to all edges of board materials to increase robustness and reduce opportunities for self harm.
